1 Cup of Golden Millet (Goldhirse)
4 Cups of Water
1 yellow Pepper, chopped
1 Carrot, grated
1 Tsp.Locust Bean Gum flour (Johannisbrotkernmehl)
(or if you prefer: 1 Egg)
1 handfull fresh italian Parsley
1 Tsp. Pepper
1 Tsp. Coriander powder
1 Tsp. Curcuma powder
1 Tsp. Cumin powder
1 Tsp. grated Ginger
1 Tsp. Mustard
1 Tsp. Cardamon powder
1/2 Tsp. Cinnamon powder
Oil to fry
Cook the Golden Millet with the Water and 1 Tbsp. of Salt for about 15 Minutes on a low heat until the water evaporates. Then let it cool down on the side.
Take a food processor (if you don’t have one, chop the Pepper and Parley very fine) and add the Golden millet, grated Carrot, Parsley, Pepper, Locust Bean Hum Flour and the spices and mix it all well. Salt it to your taste
Form patties and cook them in a little bit of Oil in the frying pan.
Tip: Goes great with my low fat and vegan Baba Ghanoush (Eggplant Dip)
They are great with Salad, Vegetables from the oven or as Vegan Burgers.
