Herb Cornbread



1 Cup of Cornmeal (Maismehl oder feine Polenta)
1 Cup of Flour (z.B. UrDinkel Vollkornmehl)
1 Tbsp. Baking powder
1 Egg
1 Cup of Milk (or Soy Milk)
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Tbsp. brown Sugar
1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil
1 handfull Basil, chopped
1 handfull italian Parsley, chopped

Preheat the oven on 200C°

Mix the Cornmeal, Flour, Salt, Sugar and Baking powder in a bowl. Then add the Milk, Egg and Oil. Mix well and add the herbs to it, stir again.

Take a round spring form and grease it.

Fill the batter in the form and bake for 50 minutes.


Serve warm

Tip: 30 minutes after baking, take it out and sprinkle grated Gruyere over it, then bake an other 20 minutes.
